sunday part 2

a ferry ride is in order.

not the rinky dink 60p ferry but a real seaworthy vessel that will take us around the harbour in style.

under 7's are free most places & the ferry is no exception. love this.

the weather has been uncommonly warm & we are all sporting short sleeve tees & hoodies. we must have brought this warm weather with us from cali.

the ferry ride is about 40 minutes in length & will take us around the hot wells part of the harbour then finishes up at city centre, near the fountains shown in the above pics. there is a second leg of the ferry harbour tour too that goes further down the harbour but it's date night tonight & the bredows have offered to babysit so we can celebrate our 7th anniversary sans kiddies.

there is a rowing competition today & the kids are excited to see 4 different boats competing. we see Brunel's the ss Great Britain (the black boat in the pics) that we will visit next week & another boat called the Matthew (the fancy Disney-esque ship), which Gemma says looks like Prince Eric's boat from the Little Mermaid.

nothing supa dupa exciting but nice to check out the area. plus it's a fantastic day out!
