the chocolate chronicles continued

so the chocolate quest continues people.

we have rediscovered the kinder egg, a previous fav from our wedding in italy some 7 years ago. the kinder egg is a german feat of chocolate engineering. a thin layer of milk chocolate covers a thin layer of white chocolate & nestled inside is a plastic egg shaped container that contains, tah-dah, a toy surprise! when we first saw these years ago, we were amazed at the intricacy of the kinder toy surprises not to mention the wee tiny pieces. i guess lawsuits against companies are not a huge thing out this way.

we have now passed the kinder egg torch to the peanuts & they love 'em. the chocolate AND the surprise - 2 things of goodness wrapped in one delicious package.

cadbury twirl - yet another cadbury bar made of milk chocolate intertwined with even more chocolatey-ness with some caramel thrown in for good measure. very good, especially since i was very very hungry.

sainsbury dark chocolate bar - a dark choco bar by the sainsbury grocery chain that is simply, exactly what it says it is. no frills. no surprises. and a very good compliment to peanut butter. and it's like 46p for a big bar. will definitely keep picking up one of these bad boys every time i go to the store.

which is like very other day.

gu part 2: microwaved the 2nd gu chocolate pud & really, it seemed to me that both cooking methods yielded about the same product. not really any discernable diff in oven cooking vs microwave cooking. except that microwaving was alot faster & provided instant choco gratification. so there's that.

chocolate twist pastry - available at costa coffee & recommended by a friend. delicious puff pastry with creamy filling twisted throughout as well as a hearty chocolate drizzling on top with a sprinkle of powdered sugar. not really a pastry person am i but thought this was pretty damn good. and the peanuts liked it too.

that's the chocolate news for now.

i am going to keep on keeping on.
